As you travel through these poems it is an insight to a man and his life, his humour, his struggle with coping with life after a serious stroke, his dreams, his hopes, his beliefs, his gifts, his regrets, his sadness and his reflections of happier times.
 Donald passed away during Spring 2022 in a care home. He was unable to get out of bed too frail to write anything, too blind to read and even his last connection with his beloved english language, his ability to hear others speak, words were fading, His life had become wordless but through his writings his considerable talent for creative writing and his imagination and insightful soul searching about himself and life and often harsh self critic is revealed through his poems, his short stories and his prayers all of which have now been published. His dream came true.
 
While talking to dad in the care home he wished to donate the proceeds of these two volumes of poems to The Stroke Society.
